New Native is proud of the recent successful conclusion of the first cohort of the Generative Artificial Intelligence Accelerator Program, "GAIA." Launched in collaboration with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) and the National Technology Development Program (NTDP), the program achieved a significant milestone on November 2nd with the graduation of 15 emerging companies specializing in generative AI. The event took place at the Garage headquarter in King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) in Riyadh, with distinguished guests, including His Excellency, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Engineer Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawahah, joining officials from leading companies, representatives from investment funds, founders of promising startups, and entrepreneurs.

With its debut cohort, GAIA, a collaboration between New Native, the National Technology Development Program (“NDTP”) and The Saudi Data & AI Authority (“SDAIA”), marks a significant stride in bringing generative AI applications to a wider market. The steadfast support behind these chosen startups reflects our deep belief in AI as a driving force for global advancement.

The event showcased the outstanding projects of the 15 Generative AI startups, many of whom embarked on this transformative journey starting with a series of Our hackathons, including the inaugural "GAIA Hackathon" organized by lablab.me & lablab.ai. These hackathons aimed to foster innovation and support aspiring entrepreneurs in the AI domain by assisting groups with AI-related ideas or prototypes, empowering them to convert these concepts into viable startups.

Far surpassing a mere presentation of pitches, the Demo Day served as a crucible for future expansion. The gathering was a showcase of cutting-edge solutions, where generative AI met human innovation, presented to attendees from a multitude of sectors.
